Alright. Here i go. 1) Changing the 1+ thing. Alright. I upvoted a post and sometimes i don't tell which post i upvoted so can you change the 1+ into a 1- After you pressed it? It will cause less confusion. 2) Notification When you either -Make a post and someone replies to it by quoting -Someone posts on a thread you made -Someone upvotes/downvotes your karma -Someone likes your post -Your Thread gets closed -Your Thread gets Trashed This happens. just like when you get a private message. [Someone posts a message on your thread] Bla bla bla. Actually. This is useless. All boards need one Alright. Thats about it. You do not have to do these. -Make a post and someone replies to it by quoting -Someone posts on a thread you made I would just make these notifications. If I wanted to receive notifications for every little shit, I could also open facebook.

Firstly... If you made a forum game, you are likely to get lots of posts. So say I made one, and the next day I had like 14 new posts on that thread. We don't really want to be spammed by messages. Secondly... SNOOPING. People will be angry at another user for voting their karma down, then their will probably be a big arguement. And you don't want that, do you? What do you think would happen if someone types your name in or ID more than once. Perhaps alot more than once. And your name could be mentioned in quite alot of posts... You have to think about this with the Notification Idea... Will people be spammed with messages? |

And the site was made 2 year ago, everyone had time to post a lot of user IDs, to up/downvote, to answer in a thread you made... and they did it! Add this feature and this site will die by mega-spamming with notifications. |

Thierry you're not staff either so don't go tell people that they aren't staff.
I started coding Notifications some time ago, it's in a branch in the abxd repo. But then I ran into some problems. Those who make you go "uh we should fix this first". And then Blarg. The way I was doing it was such that users can subscribe or un subscribe from certain types of notifications on certain things. For example you can subscribe to a particular thread or whatever. So by default you only get important notifications, like when your posts or threads are deleted, or PMs or whatever. So no, it won't turn into a Facebook-like Spam. And no, no estimated time of it getting finished. About the +1 thing, yep, your suggestions are nice and you're not the first one to suggest them. Maybe they'll become real. |

And then you forget when you did so you click on it twice and it turns out you just removed your 1+. So i want the 1+ to change into a 1- WHEN you already 1+ that post. Helpful?
