It's essentially a 3DS but without 3D functions. It will cost $129.99.   I'm very confused. |

I know, its weird. But it looks interesting to say atleast. With no 3DS, its supposedly to be targeted to kids, because of all the lolhealth risk 3D supposedly brings. _________________________ |

I don't quite know how I'd hold such a thing, the shape feels weird. I won't judge it, though, because I'm not going to try it...
However, there's a problem with this. It seems to be meant for younger kids (those who are supposedly too young to get the 3D display). However, since it doesn't fold, it doesn't fit in a pocket, and the screens are more prone to damage. And... 3DS without 3D? This is kinda like a Wii without Wiimotes. I like it, not that I'll get one as I already have a 3DS. The initial appearance looks weird with no hinge and those buttons all the way up at the top, but it's dropped to a dirt cheap price and would be perfect for any 5-12 year old kid. And obviously being targeted to children (rather, parents) it will be a great way to promote Nintendo's first party franchises while selling more systems in the process. (BTW, if someone uses the "an adult was using it in the trailer so it isn't targeted to kids" line, I shall do various things of which I have not yet conceived of.) New Super Mario Bros.: Clone Tag Team 1+2 / New Super Mario Advance + Take 2 / Super Mario: Endless Earth My two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart. |

This is useless. A ds thats a clone of the 3DS, but with no 3D features. Not to mention it dosn't fold, and I think it would be hard to put into your pocket to carry around. Nintendo... You realise that you have just wasted over hundreds of cash to make this shitty console? One of the worse consoles yet. Come on Nintendo, you can do better than this! |

 Also its low price point is the key. This will be released the same day as pokemon X and Y, so its a smart move by nintendo. Also sure, 4DS You get hit in the game, and feel the pain, you are swimming in the game, and water comes out of the system

The first thing that comes in mind is to be able to take 3D photos and transfer them to a 3DS with 3D. But dunno. Also, another interesting fact is, its only one screen. That means technically the upper screen is a touch one, but protected to be touched so easily. I guess a developer could hide an ester egg there

My guess is that even though the 2DS is only 2D, wireless interactions with a 3DS such as sharing pictures through Nintendo Letter Box should still appear in 3D for the 3DS.
