It was not really a very serious comment, It's just his use of swinging platforms and coins coming out of pipes which are both in my level.

Since Fr33ze and I made the pipe thing in NSHB, everyone does it. So it doesnt mean he copies from you.

Also I played some of the levels posted before. They are really good. Some better, some not so good. (In my eyes)

We have some GREAT turn out! Can't wait to play through all the levels.

When the deadline is up, @Dirbaio is going to take all the levels and put them all into one single patch that you can download, with each level in world 1 and 2 being a level from this contest.

The deadline is coming up soon, in 11 hours from the time of this post.

Yes you must. It will be unfair you receive critics while others don't. One of the goals of the contest is to improve level design of what people think.

Anyway, here is my level:

NOTE: It is a .NMP patch file for the U rom. The level has 3 areas and it uses the blue tileset. I made a modification to the tileset by changing the green grass to all solid in the tileset, since orange doesn't fit with the colors

I believe the first post states "the best levels will be placed in the Community Remix". As long as the best levels (2 or 3 tops) are spread out evenly throughout the hack, it won't be a problem.

But say for instance the two of the highest rated levels have radically different designs from each other, and if they were at different difficulties and such, if they were to be placed at two different ends of the hack no one would notice nor care about the single common factor of tilesets, am I right?

Much like the standard Ghost Houses in official Mario games. Being a maximum of one in each world, they all have differences. (One's a labyrinth-type level, another is switch-based, another is Boo-heavy etc.)

That would justify more than a just one single level in this contest to be placed in the Remix, right?

I'm saying this because I've never seen such a turnout for a level contest before (though i've never actually participated in one myself), and a lot of them are looking pretty great. I'd hate to see them go to waste. I'm assuming the Ruins is only going to be used a minimal number of times, right? If we just add the best ones here to the hack, we might finish off all the Ruins levels the hack would need, and then the level designers could just move on and continue with the other %90 of levels the game will have. The community remix makes decent progress, and start the motivation-ball rolling again.

Just my two cents.

My gripe wasn't with using the ruins tileset too much, it was more with the theme of the challenge. If there are to many levels with going back and forth between grassland and sky ruins, it'll seem unoriginal.

I dunno though, we could still include multiple if they're spaced apart enough and have different enough design.

Still a thing I don't get.
Do you have to rank the levels of all the players? Or do you have to say which level was (in your opinion) the best?
I think the first choice would be easier if we're going to put in multiple levels from the contest,
but if we choose the second choice, it would be easier if we're going to put in a single level.
