Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 is recommended.
But this's only my opinion.

Mario Kart 7 is undoubtedly the best in the series. That is, if you look past the lack of features.
New Super Mario Bros.: Clone Tag Team 1+2 / New Super Mario Advance + Take 2 / Super Mario: Endless Earth
My two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart.

I very highly recommend The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, The original Ocarina of Time is famous for being the best game of all time.

Ocarina of Time 3D is a remake of it and it does not remove from the original as far as I know.

It is a really great RPG / Adventure game, so you should try it.

Kid Icarus: Uprising is fun. It's the most casual Shooter game I've played, and it's so easy to play, you can become a pro in hours. It passes the time at an unbelieveable rate. It's also addictive.

And why do not you do a poll of the games you're undecided?
I have these games:
- Super Mario 3D Land (I sold it long ago (100% completed) ) (3DS)
- Mario Kart 7 (3DS)
- Resident Evil : Revelations (3DS)
- New Super Mario Bros 2 (3DS)

My favorite: 1. Mario Kart 7 2. NSMB2 3. SM3DL

And I forgot to add:
I do NOT recommend Super Mario 3D Land.
The gameplay is really bad.
It's the worst Nintendo-made game I've played.

I echo this. I recently got to try 3DLand and it disappointed me. Levels were to short and I didn't liked the gameplay. Too easy.
Still, another casual game I recommend is super monkey ball 3D, not as great as the first 4, but hey, it does have its charm.

I feel the 3DS on the whole is a disappointment, there are not many decent games. I only really bought it for MK7 and NSMB2, both of which failed to match my expectations. SM3DL was not all that good, 64 was much better.

There are some ok games on the e-shop, but most of the virtual console games are better. I have been playing Zelda 2 lately which is my favourite Zelda game, probably because it was my first.

I am just happy that the 3DS is backwards compatible with most DS games.

I know they arent that many good games. I only have 3 games for it, and I really enjoyed MK7 and NSMB2. Mainly, I have downloaded many eshop games (mostly VC), which are the most game I play, but still, im waiting till this thing gets hacked, with all the homebrew stuff that the 3DS has potential for

I think the problem with the 3DS is that gamers expect too much out of it. I seems to me the 3DS acts as if it were a handheld that tries to pass itself off as a home console, so people expect home console quality games from the system (it does not help to have a lot of home console games get remade on it either.) Me, I just expect better graphics than the DS can handle and just think of 3DS games more as enhanced DS games, so in the end I'm perfectly satisfied with it.

Yeah, probably the main reason I hate 3D Land so much is because I expected it to be as good as New Super Mario Bros.

Well actually I didn't expected too much out of it.
Now, the console lacks games. They are a few good, and it started trippy with just remakes. However I actually enjoyed NSMB2 more than NSMBW, but I didnt like 3DLand because the level were to short and the 3d/2d didn't appealed to me that much.

I hope more awesome games to be coming soon

Yep, I'm sure Nintendo still has a winning card. This's just a beginning.
