I made a custom midi that I converted to an sseq, which I put over the MvsL Overworld slot, it sounds fine in Nitro Studio, and it also sounds fine ingame, but the problem is that there are no sound effects. What is wrong with it?I've already checked other threads, and none of them have anything I've found useful.

this is just my general knowledge:
the swav files of the sseq may be taking up too much space and overwriting mario/in-game swavs. i only experienced this in the singleplayer by linking two swav files to one sseq.
again, not exactly sure, but it's likely something about swav files. try reducing the amount of sound effects? that's really all ive got heh

You may have to change the soundset of your level as well

Ok, so what I understand is that I have to change the sound set on NSMBe? Or maybe its happening because its using the world map bank file?

i attatched WORLD_ALL.sbnk or similar, and yep. the world map bank overwrites most of mario's bank files. you'll need to use a smaller bank.

Normally if you use the original world map music in a level (through View > Music in the level editor), most sound effects won't play either.

Because the instrument samples for all eight world map themes are in one SWAR instead of seperate ones, which makes it too big to fit into the memory so the sound effects mute.
