At first: Sorry for bumping this thread, but I think my question fits into here.

Right now I'm creating a worldmap in Sketchup and every thing is working. But now I'd like to add animated water and I don't have any idea how this should work.

You need to use Maya to follow that tutorial.

Also, be sure to buy Maya 5, 6 or 7. Older or newer versions won't work with the Nitro plug-in.

you don't? why would you have to do that. NSMBDS uses nsbmd and only nsbmd. if you're refering to the player models, then those are just nsbmd files without the nsbmd extension and lz77 compressed.
