So, I was making a hack and wanted custom level previews. I couldn't get that to work, and didn't get any answers, so I decided just to use the Newer engine for my hack. I wanted the hack to stay vanilla, so I put in all of the vanilla textures and all that. The Jyotyu and Sub Nohara textures worked just fine, but when I put in the powerups it all messed up and they turned black. I found out that the powerups in Newer DS use a different palette file than the original, so I put in the powerup textures ad redid the new palette file. It looked fine in the editor, but I went in-game and... this... And I did check all the newly added folders to see if there were any other palettes for it, but there was nothing.

In vanilla NSMB item bitmap uses jyotyu palette. In Newer, item bitmap uses palettes from I_enemy256_ncl.bin found in obj folder.
