So, I was making a hack and wanted custom level previews. I couldn't get that to work, and didn't get any answers, so I decided just to use the Newer engine for my hack. I wanted the hack to stay vanilla, so I put in all of the vanilla textures and all that. The Jyotyu and Sub Nohara textures worked just fine, but when I put in the powerups it all messed up and they turned black. I found out that the powerups in Newer DS use a different palette file than the original, so I put in the powerup textures ad redid the new palette file. It looked fine in the editor, but I went in-game and... this... And I did check all the newly added folders to see if there were any other palettes for it, but there was nothing. _________________________ Check out "New-ISH" Super Mario Bros. DS HD*!! In vanilla NSMB item bitmap uses jyotyu palette. In Newer, item bitmap uses palettes from
I_enemy256_ncl.bin found in obj folder.

Oh, thanks!
EDIT: Wait actually there's still a problem: These pink things follow it around. _________________________ Check out "New-ISH" Super Mario Bros. DS HD*!! Renewed Super Mario Bros. still exists, though. |
