So, I've tried putting in custom level previews into my hack. I followed all the steps, followed all the template stuff, but it just won't work! I checked many times, and I did all the steps correctly, but the game still plays the default level preview. I've clicked and reclicked run make and insert, but it just doesn't do anything and I don't know why...

I can't even get "run, make, and insert" to work. "Make is not a recgonizable application"

Anyway, what files did you replace? Or did you add files to the rom? Describe what you did step by step

So first I downloaded Devkitpro and the ASM template provided here. I then downloaded the custom preview files from the tutorial. After this, I did each of the steps. I added "SuperLevelIntros.cpp" and replaced nsmb.h and symbols.x with the given ones. I then put a test ROM into the ASM template folder (not in the /source folder). To test it, I used the two test .epng's and replaced two of the images that are shown in the credits of the game. After this, I edited SuperLevelIntros.cpp and put in the file numbers like the tutorial said. Then I clicked "run, make, and insert" but the level preview didn't show up. It just showed the default "World X-Y" preview.

Could you copy the code you have in the .cpp file?

Also, quick question, was I supposed to put the ASM template folder in the Devkitpro folder? Because that may be the source of the problem, but I don't know where I would even put the ASM template folder.

No, I don't think so. Could you copy and past the code you put in here so I can see it? I may be able to determine the issue

Also how did you install Devkitpro? I can't get mine to install for some reason

I got Devkitpro from here and just followed the .exe's instructions. It takes some time to download. Then I looked in my "C:" folder and found it there.

Weird. It keeps saying that I don't have an internet connection when I do! I checked if windows firewall was blocking it and it ain't.
