Welp, here we go again with the music...

It might sound stupid, so here goes.

I recently replaced Grassland(Alt) with Cavi Cape Music from Bowser's Inside Story via DS Sound Studio.
Everything transferred fine without any issues, and the music plays and all the sound effects and stuff like
that. Now I replace the castle music with Bowser's Castle (A) from Bowser's inside story. Sounds fine in the
editor, but ingame, Nothing. Silence. Sound effects play and that's it. I did the same exact process too.

Any fix to this? Thanks! -Skylander

did you switch the WAVE and BANKs or just the SSEQs?

Fun Fact: To see what it could be i replaced my castle theme with the M&L theme.
And in my case the music played, but most soundeffects were gone.

by soundbank I mean the SBNK and WAVE. BGM_VS tracks use BANK_VS and WAVE_VS, which are obvi. not meant for singleplayer (filled to the brim).

I only changed .sseq's. @BooChewBaca, there's a SoundHex you set it on and the sound effects will play.
For the Cavi Cape theme, SoundHex 32 played the sound effects. I did the same process for both tracks and the castle theme won't play.

you do not realize not all SBNK/SWARs are compatible with the channel patches (aka instrument ID) SSEQs/MIDIs use? you're expecting channels to automatically match them here.

depends on what song you insert, but either way if you want a decent music hack not relying on luck or restricting yourself to trying a ton of possible combinations for each hoping for a barely decent result, you need to edit the track manually.

this is what most music hacker do in FL Studio: port music by setting the right channels to the right instrument. then export to MIDI and convert to SSEQ.
