This is actually the first time this is happening to me, so I have literally no idea how to fix it.

As you can see in that screenshot, there are a few tiles missing in the ground at the bottom. Those are actually not visible (they are out of view). I'm using a zoom sprite here and it does work like it should.
Except if I reach a certain height in the view (I did a walljump here to achieve that height). If I reach that height, the camera starts scrolling downwards out of the view. If I get out of that certain Y-Coordinate, the camera goes back to normal.
I'd be happy if somebody could tell me why exactly this is happening

Enable vertical scrolling? Not sure if that's this problem, but I know something like this happens if it isn't enabled.

If you want the technical details, the minimum height you have to reach for that glitch to happen is actually "Zoom value"/2.
Also the 12 bottommost tiles become the 12 topmost tiles when the view is shifted downwards.

In your example, since your zoom value is 18, the glitch happened because Toad went at least 9 tiles above the bottom of the View.

I don't know if you stayed to much time in the "refrigerator" or I missed the point, because you mastered the use of Zoom sprite at level 1-A (if I'm not wrong) on your ANSMB hack. I liked it so much that I used it as level 3-G in my personal * compilation. MeroMero made a Zoom Calc program in this thread which teachs easily how it works.

Anyway, I'm happy you found the solution, because I would like to know if you have some intention to make a new hack for we play, or you will stay dedicated in World Map project at moment? I'm asking 'cause you have excellent good ideas.
