I could have sworn I made a thread on this, but apparently I didn't.
Anyway, someone ( MarioFanatic64 I think) told me that it was impossible to have animations in tilesets, but I just realized that it IS possible, because the Conveyor Belts in Tileset 1: Castle have animations.

So does anyone know how this works? (so it could be done with other tiles/tilesets)

Conveyor belts have their animations coded into the behavior, you can't do it without ASM.

Maybe it just takes the tile, moves it one pixel, takes the row pixels that are lost after moving and puts it in the other (now empty) row.

They are stored in another image file somewhere in the ROM and used for specific Map16 tiles.
