We really need to do something here. This is an old project, and years of what, nothing? Don't let this project die. Are you seriously going to sit there with popcorn...or and watch this project die? Let's get our shit together. We need to get this project back on line! We need to gain back the control, we need to discuss.

It's not dead. It's just that most of us are busy on making our own hacks for now, so we can't make levels or tilesets.

You need more than a minute to make a level, tileset or whatever else.
And by the way, the NSMB Community Remix isn't an usual NSMB hack. It will feature a new gameplay gimmick (similiar to SM64), new levels and graphics and more stuff that needs months (or even years) of work.

Yes, true, we can make levels quickly. But, we need quality levels. Like, level judges so they can review the level and see if its applicable to the NSMBCR.

I dunno if the hub ASM hack will ever be done. I say we just get the levels, the BGs, and texture hack the overworld.

Also, now that we begin to get the levels, it'd be a good idea to have someone make a patch for what we have now and update it regularly (not necessarily with every new tileset and level, but from time to time)


 Hiccup said that he would do that...but he never did it, because he needed the url for the Community Remix's Google Website made by krutomisi, that had old levels for the CR. But bleh, the level design in those times (when NSMB hacking was just a subforum at Jul) was a bit "plain".

Perhaps we could whip up some kind of Hub World by using 1-1 as the hub and exploiting the hell out of the overflow bug, but that would cause more potential issues to ensue like the Time Limit, and no way to end a level without advancing to 1-2.
