Well... I'm currently busy with other things, but World 3 and 5 are half done.
I think I will release a new beta when I'm done with World 3,4 and 5.

I figured, this hack looks impressive, why not give the last beta a try. Here's what I noticed/thought/etc when playing it.

Generally

* Selecting Minigames from the main menu brings you to the menu again
* Small Toad is maybe a bit too tall, I thought he was tall at first. Perhaps that's just me. I also know that adapting the Toad head on the Mario model isn't easy. I blame this one on the lack of proper model editing tools.
* On the worldmap life counter, the 'TOAD' bit is hard to read
* On the level progress cursor, the Toad head isn't centered with the arrow


1-1

* The trees feel a bit weird, and Toad's tendency to stick to them is sometimes annoying. Besides this behavior doesn't seem needed (for now?).
* That part with the three brick blocks blocking a tunnel to a pit. You'd expect a secret to be down there, but no. You just die. Not cool.


1-2

* The music is certainly nice. Not really cave-themed, though, and a bit busy.
* Fix the positioning of the flying [?] block, it appears inside the ceiling. It's almost impossible to hit it.
* You have to wait for Wigglers to get in the poison pools to cross, but they can go out of them too? That design is annoying. The second pool is too large, I start jumping on the Wiggler but then I can't cross because I can't jump that far, and that motherfucker Wiggler won't go forward because it's angry.
* In the secret part above the second Wiggler, um... a Wiggler goes down on me without me seeing it. Camera should be fixed there. Also it looks like there could be an exit up there, but nothing...
* Fourth Wiggler. Again, same thought: make it so they can't get out of the poison pools. Wigglers also glitch slightly when walking on slopes for some reason.


My critique should go further, but I haven't been able to complete 1-2. It's too hard for a W1 level.

My general opinion on this is pretty much the same as dirbaio's. The hack is technically impressive but the level design needs some improvements.


Relatedly, this hack was featured at MarioPartyLegacy for the Week of Mario Mods.

Your level design is the best and it looks realy funny to play. Also the hardnes of your levels seem to be realy fair.

But the 10 in the 10-Coin dosen't look NSMBish. Maybe you could round the text a litte bit.

I think you should keep the grey rocks, they look good with the tileset, also it may happen because of the all controlling pallet being different for castle levels
