I *think* the problem is caused because the view is *not* aligned to the 16x16 block grid. All views original MvsL levels are aligned to it ...

So, Jesus, try aligning it to the grid that the editor shows. It's 16x16 blocks, or 256x256 pixels.

Another thing to try: turning camera wraparound off in the level settings too. Then the level won't be "cyclic" but it'll maybe fix the glitches.


I have try it and... IT WORKS PERFECTLY, excepting only one thing:

When Mario goes to a high zone of the map, then the background goes 16 pixels to the top, and all the sprites goes 16 px to the top, but not the object, so u can see for example a gooma floating in the air at 16 px from the object. Do you know what I mean?

The view dimensions are: width:2048(256x8) and height: 304 (16x19).

And the tileset is:
Tileset: 50 Forest;
Background Top Layer: 51 - Froggy forest;
Background bottom Layer: 50 - Background clouds;

I have tested it with the desert backgrounds and the same happens.

Ok, then this one is a different problem than the one I had.
When I have this bug again, I will post the level here, so you guys can see it.

The problem you have now seems related to the scroll sprites. Try removing them
EDIT: Or maybe it's the camera settings of the view, dunno.

I have discover than the width of the map divided by 256 has to be 2,4,8...

For example, if u make a map that the width is 1792 (256x7) it will not work properly. Only 1024 or 2048 will be accepted. I dn´t know if x6 will work.


EDIT: PER 6 NOT WORKS!

ONLY 2,4,8,16....

No.

I have discover it right now.

The hight:

Put the height that you want, but you have to put the progress path in the middle of that high.

For example, if u want to put a heigh view of 228, you must put your progress path in the middle of that height, 114. In my example I have the view top in the top of the screen.

Take care: If you have the top of the view not in the top of the window, u must consider this to get the progress path in the middle

THANKS. This solved my problem too. Now I know why I get not working MvsL levels at a rate of 50 percent.
