That trailer was amazingly disappointing.
Bland levels, uninspired level design, the music stops in the middle of the trailer... I mean did you even watch it after creation? Also you are linking a ROM in your description which is completely illegal.
I recommend you to remove it.

Also, do you call this pixelated bunch of... things(?) a background or what is that exactly?

(The title music taken from my hack is actually no real problem because it's the original song from Inside Story. They obviously didn't know that but also didn't bother to ask for permission so

Today I found a game breaking bug in a Bowser Jr. fight and took the opportunity to improve a lot of stuff. If that bug never happened I probably wouldn't have released the changes I made so I guess it's good?

Changelog:
General:
- adjusted lava in all levels to allow better overview
- implemented the icon  InfiniteX made
- replaced two soundtracks
- reworked and fixed zooms
- improved experience for first-time players

Levels:
1-2:
- added secret-exit

1-5:
- fixed out-of-bounds-kill not being consistent (again)
- built a wall to prevent you from breaking out

1-A:
- moved checkpoint so 2nd star coin gets saved
- random breaking-blocks are now more predictable
- white lines don't disappear anymore

2-1:
- fixed strangest bug in the world (aka coin in sign)

2-2:
- second star coin is now much fairer
- fixed third star coin koopa falling through cloud
- fixed Bowser Jr. glitching the camera

2-3:
- better introduction to main gimmick
- changed insta-death into a challenge

2-4:
- moved first star coin

2-Tower:
- Starcoin 2 & 3 are much easier
- most of the icicles tawed

2-5:
- beginning of the second half allows you to react easier to rising lava

2-6:
- fixed hilariously bad tiling
- insane jump is gone
- fixed game-breaking bowser jr. fight

2-Castle:
- changed first track

- fixed minor texture issues
- improved a switch passage

8-1:
- removed the snake blocks and poles

There are no rules. A level doesn't have to be short or long, hard or easy to be funny and enjoyable. Every combination of that is possible. Most important is to be creative and fair to the player. If you can sightread the challenges ahead, a hard level can be enjoyable too.
But you can't accomplish that by putting invisible blocks everywhere e.g.
If a death feels cheap and not caused by own failure but instead by unfair level design you missed the goal.

Always try to think of how someone not knowing anything about your level could approach it. That's not easy but you can practice it.

When you built the general structure of your level, you can think about how to make it good looking. Get creative with the decoration and try stuff out. Asking for feedback can also help a lot there.

And yes, harsh feedback might not feel good but can motivate you more than someone just hyping everything you do for no reason. Don't take it personally and just improve your hack based on the feedback.
When I released my hack back in 2013 I also received some harsh criticism but tbh it was the thing I needed to improve the flaws of the hack.

Those are invisible tiles, the coins are supposed to lead the way and the red koopas on every platform show the length of each.
A questionable concept, it forces slow gameplay and might be unfun if dragged out for longer. If it's only for that one section it might be okay but also kinda random.

Please stop making hacks without erasing the whole level before building. When you only change a few blocks it CANT be a good hack. When I look at your screenshots I dont really know if I would play your hack.
Think about that you made 4(!) world 1 hacks in the time I completed 1 world for my hack. I dont know how long you needed for this "hack" but I think not more than a week. Thats too short. Look at ASMB or Clone Tag Team then you know what a really good hack is. You must have good ideas when you are building a hack. Not changing the basic levels a bit. Look at the tutorial from ray and learn the rules for building good levels. Then start building a new hack. And if you need 1 hour for a level its not good. Remember that!

Thank you I always like constructive critics. That you get bored is a problem I´ve already thought about. But as you can read in previous posts I like to rebuilt levels. I will look what I can do maybe one or two mushroom levels or smth. else. And about the "path" I also started to remove some useless parts of 1-1 e.g. and I will set more arrow-signs. If you play Beta 2 I hope you´ll like it better.
