I agree:

What we really need is documentation for all of the features in NSMBe. There are lots of random stuff that you wouldn't know unless you come here or happen to figure them out.

The thing is that nobody wants to write any documentation. This is a task that really any fairly experience member could attempt, and if somebody could at least get a rough draft or even an outline for a document that lists all the features in NSMBe, we could go from there and have others fill in the gaps or elaborate. So if anyone wants to help out the community, don't hesitate to work on this for us

You will need to use sprite 197 - Tile creator/destroyer. Set the "Output ID" of the ?-Switch to be the same as the "Input ID" of the Tile destroyer (also they cannot be 0). Then set up the destroyer sprite to destroy the blocks you want and it should work.

More builds

Build 345 replaces the crappy white background on the graphics editor with a nice gridded background to show transparency.

Yes, this was a nice feature, I don't know why it was removed. Anyway, I've reimplemented it in b347.

Yep, that was my bad. I guess that's what I deserve for fixing something in the morning right before going to class. Fixed (for real this time) in b348.

You can, but it's a bit weird how you do it. You have to open the palette you want to edit AND any image in the graphics editor (in theory it shouldn't even matter if the image uses the palette you're editing). In the graphics editor, you can Ctrl+Click a color in the palette to edit it. Then save it and the palette should be edited while the image remains the same.

The "Set background" feature of NSMBe does not actually change the background in game, just what you see in the editor. If you want to create a new background for your level, you're going to need to use the background editor in NSMBe.

I've just added support for extracting entire folders, and it works with drag and drop too. You can download b370 to check it out (for real this time, I'm pretty sure drag and drop was broken in my last build)

This isn't the original request, but it's pretty close and should get the job done.

The tab delete buttons aren't there for objects and sprites, only entrances, views, zones, and paths. I still don't think a way to delete just objects and sprites is needed though. It's much better to delete everything when making a new level so you're not tempted to reuse anything. Plus the time required to make a view, an entrance, and a path is minuscule compared to the time it takes to make the rest of the level.

I believe that's because of this bug. You can try editing that file with an old version of the editor and it might work.

But al the link of i "have" its demos

That's because 3DS Max and Maya are not free software. You'll need to buy them or use other less legal means of obtaining them.

What you're doing right now is not helping. You simply need to be a good user who contributes something to the community.

Any more posts discussing how to "become" a staff member will be deleted.

Hm okay doing to do dhis but what are the translation-files? (I mean their names)

They're all the files in the "Languages" directory that comes with NSMBe. Feel free to edit a translation or make a new one and I can add it to the editor.
