I want to search for hexadecimal lines for example you these:
4C229FE50130A0E3 70219FE5013030A0E3 But I don't know how to make the hex editor automatically locate them in the overlay 9_9, which is where those lines are, I am using the HxD editor, I don't know if it is the right editor, I would like you to tell me how to search lines in that hex editor or recommend me another much better one. do you guys know if once I have edited a decompressed overlay I have to compress it back in NSMBe or do I just replace it and that's it. Thank you!

you dont have to compress it again. i dont think nsmbe can do that anyway
