It is just Wallmart's guess.
It is unlikley to be $100, but you will never know for certain until Nintendo release information.

Walmart selling a game for a hundred bucks? Lowest prices my butt.

Back on topic, I'm looking forward to playing NSMBU, even though it looks a bit too similar to the previous games.

Nintendo should try to do something new with one of their Mario 2d platformers. Set it in a new location, have a new batch of enemies (mainly replacing some of the more classic enemies with new ones) and new world themes for a breath of fresh air from the "plains desert snow beach forest mountain sky lava" loop that's been going on.

Of course, familiarity sells, so I doubt that's likely to happen. Then again, Mario World was different in theme from the previous games, and many people love it.

Not even the Wii U's price is know. I say Walmart is just failing. And if its 100? No thanks. Probably here will be like 140$, but meh. I will get an OUYA rather than a Wii U.

For Australia, that's the average price of a game. Being a Brand-New Wii U game, for me it's a bargain.

Lol, in Taiwan you can buy two to three games using USD $100.
but I can get four cokes in Taiwan using the money to buy a coke in Australia.

Wait until the 13th of September, there's a conference confirming Wii U's release date and price. I'm assuming NSMBU will be available day one.

Also, is it just me, or in the last screenshot it looks like Mini-Mario can walk up walls?

That's neat. I've found the Mini-Mario powerup to be one of the most useless ones in NSMB. It's more like a power-down because it's hard as shit to control and stuff kills you in one hit. On NSMB and NSMBW its only use is entering mini-pipes for getting star coins / secret exits...

I saw that too. Its like the triangle stones in Super Mario World which lets you run up walls, but here, it seems better.

Wii U price for north america is up.
Read below:
In North America and Europe, we'll be getting a white "Basic" pack (with 8GB storage) and a black "Deluxe" pack (with 32GB storage and the same extras that are set to be included with the Japanese "Premium" bundle).

In North America, the Wii U will hit store shelves on 18th November, 2012. The Basic set is $299.99 and the Deluxe retails for $349.99.

In Europe, the release date is 30th November, but no price has been confirmed - instead, Nintendo is allowing retailers to decide, which is what happened with the launch of the 3DS.

when I have the money, I will get the deluxe one. Its the best value for your money.

I'm happy with the Wii U's price. The Premium Pack is $430 in Australia, so that'll be the one I pick.

New Super Mario Bros. U is reminding me more and more of Super Mario World. Which is awesome.

True, the truth is that Nintendo have worked harder in this game than in NSMB2
