I'm using the Flame chomp enemies on a level I'm making, but I've noticed that as I test the level in DeSmuME, this enemy is sometimes invisible. I've used it in other levels without this problem though, so I'm thinking maybe there is some incompatibility with some other sprite or something?

Has anyone else experienced this problem, or have any idea what could be wrong? I really don't want to remove this enemy from my stage if it can be helped.

Try moving the whole level much down. Actually, there are some "hidden zones" which let sprites dissappear. But noone knows what they exactly are or why do they exist.

Oh yeah, I've had this happen to me once.
It was in an underwater level. Fireballs would disappear when entering the mistery zone too.

Very annoying >.<

Is the zone hard coded?
It would be useful if it was displayed in the editor like the other zones.

I don't think zones like this are specially coded in the game.
I think it's more like a bug. But I have no idea what causes it.

Well, I tried moving the stage, but that didn't really work.
Its a vertical level, so moving it down got me an out of bounds error and crashed the editor.
I tried moving it over to the right, but for some reason that caused the level to crash (black screen) when it loads.
I guess I'll just have to do without that enemy.

Your level is a "wrap around" level, true? Then moving it to right cant work

Well, I think it can, as long as it's aligned to the 16x16 block grid.

Nope, it HAS to be at the left of the level. I already tested it

Wow, this's very new to me. How mysterious! NSMB is such a mysterious game..
