I just noticed a small bug/oversight. The post links like >>12345 no longer work, but they are still inserted when you click on the post ID to make a reply.

Oh
Nice catch.

Yeah, that got removed because we thought having two ways of referencing to posts (by quoting and 4-chan-style, by ID) sucks.

But the link didn't get removed :|

It will soon

When browsing a forum or a thread, the online users bar is originally '4 users browsing Derpaforum...', but then when it autorefreshes, it ignores the forum it's in and becomes '7 users online...'.

Its not a big deal for the most part, but I feel bad for some users, like MrRean, who have become known for their displaynames.

Suggestion: make it impossible for non-admins to post comments on banned users' profiles.

I'm just sick of always seeing those "HAHA BANNED LOLOL IDIOT" type comments being posted when users get banned.

Why non-admin? Wouldn't an admin have just as little reason to post on a banned user's profile as anyone else?

Admins might have a good reason to do that. They're also less likely to post annoying crap than normal users.

Private messages are a thing, and it's much more noticeable when you get one of those than when someone posts in your profile.

Really the only difference between a message and a profile post is privacy. Is there ever something you would need to tell a banned person that has to be said publicly?

You have a good point. But uh, for the sake of convenience. You would say admins have no reason to double/triple/quadruple post like a madman, yet they're allowed to do it. They normally don't use it, but there are rare cases where it comes in handy. Same thing here.

Why not: "make it impossible for non-STAFF to post comments on banned users' profiles."?

I don't think the staff would post annoying crap on banned users profile, and if they do this, any admin could warn/demote/ban them anyway.

The point is that admins would be the ones that banned the users and would then comment on the ban.

I assume full and local mods don't have the power to ban anyone, which is why the distinction is made. I certainly can't ban anyone.

Remember when I mentioned the issue with the qwebirc client and the session limit? It happened again today.

Either make that thing connect users directly instead of proxying through the server, or switch back to the Java IRC.

Because the issue also results in NinaBot being kicked out.

Could be done. But if you want the resulting karma decrease to be retained, it's, uh, complicated.

Not worth it.

But, there would be a benefit. It would provide more incentive to not get banned
