Me and jouner had made a lot of custom hand drawn bgs and custom tilesets for my mod and public resources (he did for another mod too) and i was thinking, how many custom tilesets (hand drawn/3d rendered ds style) already have been made in history of nsmb modding and nsmbhd? Like, wich hacks had it and such, since nsmb hackd usually have the nsmbu, wii, nsmb2 graphics, wich i really like a lot, but i never saw much hacks with original custom tilesets, i was thinking about it since earlier today

jus off the top of my head ik there were numerous original tilesets drawn for community remix (dirbaio's and freeze's were particularly good iirc) but since that was never finished they never really got used for anything. ricbent had also made some nice tilesets, but the dropbox link for them has been dead for a bit so

EDIT: poudink had also compiled some nsmbish graphics from around the internet some time ago which lists each creator. much is hit or miss but its maybe worth a peep

I seriously would like to know if someone has a backup of RicBent's tilesets because it's a shame that those cool tilesets are now lost media

My NSMB hack (once I've finished procrastinating shit regarding it (I've agreed with myself to start making W1 once I've finished SM64DS - TotDS's Castle Grounds, which is after the release of Tubular 64 DS)) will have custom hand-drawn graphics, because I do not really like using something that's ripped from another game (meanwhile Tubular 64 DS with its textures being edits of SMW graphics:), I'd rather design my own graphics, because it helps establishing a unique personal style. W2 will be an oriental world; what would make my hack more original and personality-having: a rip of sakura tilesets from SSMB or NewerWii, or something original?
