Synesthesia (American English) or synaesthesia (British English) is a perceptual phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway.[1][2][3][4] People with synesthesia may experience colors when listening to music, see shapes when smelling certain scents, or perceive tastes when looking at words.

5 isn't red it's green

or gray
it's kind of vague

(context: it's just whatever color you picture a given number/letter with by default, if you do that at all)
allegedly being high can increase or create whole new synesthesia, linking senses that usually aren't (like "tasting colors")

they're not getting hacked anytime soon

how dare you say 5 is green

2 is green however. that is fact

I didn't get haxed. just felt like posting about this

fun side effect btw: I can't really visualize numbers in colors different than what my brain associates them. for example, I can visualize a blue 5 alone, or a yellow 2 alone, but if I try to put the two together, my brain gets confused.

And what is 1 in your mind?
I hope it's purple, because of your avatar and you, as its owner, having UID 1 on K64.

0 is white, but kinda transparent -- it doesn't have a very strong color compared to other numbers

also, I have other types of synesthesia!

namely: I feel sound in my legs, I 'hear' visual motion in my mind, I see the year as a 2D circle map, ...

Now that I think of it, I do associate some numbers with colours:

1 is red.

2 is green, so is 3, but 3 can also be yellow.

4 is blue.

5 seems to be orange.

And 69 is gold.
I see the year as a 2D circle map, ...
So... like a clock? I've seen ancient/historic calendars like that on TV, they are a thing.

I think this year map thing might have been influenced by calendars in preschool... I have some memories of that.

anyway, it's a circle map, Dec/Jan at the bottom, Jul/Aug at the top. this means the distribution is uneven. it's not super precise, but when I think of a date, I get a visual idea of where it is in the year.

also, the above hurts my brain

4, however, is yellow
