What is Super Mario 64 DS - Tale of the Diamond Stars?SM64DS - Tale of the Diamond Stars, or SM64DS - TotDS shorthand, is a major WIP hack of SM64DS. It will feature:• Remixed versions of courses from the vanilla game, alongside original custom courses; • Custom models and textures for actors; • Custom 2D graphics; • Custom code; • Custom music and SFX; • Custom text; • 213 Power Stars to collect! Story (only half canon to Wonder, I know)While Mario, Luigi, Wario and Peach are back on their way from the Flower Kingdom, Bowser has already devised a new evil masterplan: he fakes Princess Peach's handwriting and sends an invitation to Princess Daisy of Sarasaland, keeper of the Diamond Stars, which are even stronger than Power Stars. Unknowing, she heads for Mushroom Castle, where she gets ambushed and outnumbered by the Koopa Troop. Bowser uses the power of the Power and Diamond Stars to enhance his painting worlds and create new ones. When our friends arrive at the castle, they too get locked up in these worlds. It's up to Yoshi to save the day...ScreenshotsFAQWhen will it release?When it's done. There's no release date set in stone, as I don't want to rush things. Can it be played on original hardware? I use both my modded 3DS and DeSmuME for testing, so I can ensure it will work on original hardware. I don't know about Wii U VC, though. Will Waluigi be playable? No. Peach will. |

Will there be support for circle pad (as in full 360 with the circle pad)?

Bad news. This is an April Fools joke. I wanted to try out custom music, so I downloaded a random MIDI composing app. Nothing about the page really looked sus... but it was a virus and now my laptop is ruined. So yeah, SM64DS - TotDS is canceled. Posting this from my 3DS if you're wondering. EDIT: Damn, it sucks when your April Fools joke gets no replies. Almost done with the logo! An HD image will appear in the OP within the next few days (for that I only need to remove the background) and then I'll import it into the game. If you want to see what it looks like WITH the background, check out the project topic on the SM64DS Hacking Discord (as long as the image's still available)!
