So, I'm editing W1-Castle and I wanna put Monty on the bossfight instead of Bowser. I've had a lot of problems, like, when I edited the thing in area 3, a lava glitched happened and crashed the game (I assumed cause of the game's internal code to have Bowser there) and I kinda solved em all except for one little detail: the bossfight, when i play it in desmume it goes squeaky clean, nothing to report. But when I play it in MelonDS, the bossfight crashes at the time when the tank bumps into Mario's ass for some reason.

The thing is: I'm thinking of post the hack soon aaand I really don't know if it is fixable or it should be fixed

The easiest way I know of to get boss fights into areas they're not usually from is to export the boss from the area it originates from and import it back over the area you're trying to use the boss in.

Exactly, that's what I did. The problem is: this is not my domain, but I think maybe the area 2 of W1-Castle is maybe already programmed for Bowser and maybe there's something to do with the hex editing section, but I don't know, you tell me

Probably hardcoded or something, could need asm or a hex edit to work fine. You should ask IllyCat, as she’s working on boss fight stuff and probably knows how to
