Yep, it's gone. I forgot the exact reason but Dirbaio wanted to take people (especially new members/possible members) straight to the forums. I don't really like it but I guess it makes sense.

I did plan on making a thread about it to ask people about thier opinion on the matter.

ThierryI don't see how the main page was a problem. If anything, it was certainly convenient. You could instantly see both recent activity and news. I was really used to it at this point. Kind of like a second homepage.

I get Dirbaio's point on how it may have been "distracting" some people away from the forums, but at this point in time you can't just remove the main page everyone use and expect nobody to complain.

To me, every time I check the site it feels like it's lacking.
Also it displayed the news conveniently, but I'm just repeating myself.

We'll have to wait and see how things turn out.

what do you mean by that? I mean I get why people don't like moving, but a comment like that is just rude.

What? I'm saying to just be grateful that dirbaio saved NSMBHD from moving to RHCafe, where there IS NO "Main" button for NSMB-only stuff, or last posts button, or anything, specifically for NSMB (apart from the forums ofc).

I can't say that I love the fact that the main page was removed, because it made the last posts easier to check, like griddy said. That was my main purpose for it, essentially.

We were saved from the hell shibbs dares to call a Cafe. Yay!

I'm still happy we didn't move, though. Unless you ported all threads, uploader files, NSMBe versions or whatever, it would have been anything but a clean move.

As it is now, most info on NSMBDS is split between threads, users, and external sources. You cannot port everything, and I'm used to this place.

Even KingYoshi was ranting about the main page being gone. :^)

Move or not, let's be honest with one thing: This whole "NSMBHD is dead; go to RHCafe" was more like a coup attempt.
I mean, Dirbaio wasn't even aware of this move, but on the positive side, he came back at the very least.

nsmbhd wasn't dead, the owner was. It wasn't an overthrow for power, I don't see where that came from.

also main page being removed is succ. The only issue with it were the recent announcements. Solution: remove the threads and actually make one about suggestions for a contest or something.

we envisioned the move because after a while, Dirbaio didn't respond to various pokes and prods, including slapping big red text in the admin forum's description to direct him to the issues we wanted fixed. that's all.

Dirbaio showed up and all that had to be said has been said. the move wasn't needed anymore and it's a good thing, moves always leave things and people behind.
