Ay, cool! I made this volcano extension a while ago, featuring slopes, and background rocks. Was gonna post it but just forgot about it, thanks for reminding me and giving me a place to post it

I updated my desert tileset, i removed the pipe because it was useless, and added the palm tree from the original tileset back.
I managed to barely fit it, but believe me, it was an EXTREMELY tight squeeze...

I don't have any screenshots so here's the bitmap instead

As you can see i ended up with only 5 8x8 spaces left for use, and 1 space has to be empty so there's only 4 spaces available...

P.S: This tileset is 100% compatible with the stock levels so don't worry about anything breaking

That doesn't really fit here, as it uses graphics from places other than the game. And I don't see the point of having two styles of desert ground.

Also, remember that you can use up to four palletes (and possibly more with extra hackery) to keep the colour count up.

He means by giving the original tilesets the normal stuff. (Slopes, upsidedown tiles, or randomized tiles.)
Not by adding to them with other stuff. Make sense? (This is kinda hard to explain.)

3rd edit: I don't think Hiccup wants another tileset, just basic stuff like decorations.

This. The beta tiles you pasted into the final one are pretty much a whole different tileset.


Regardless, it's too late to remove it, so I'd advise against keeping this debate going.

It's not like your tileset is bad or whatever.

I know the image has a fairly random choice of colors, but that's to demonstrate the different colors I have for the blocks.
It adds a small oasis-type of thing, shells in the ground, a brick wall in the background, a window-thing in the brick wall and a bunch of different colors for both the solid rocks and the solid-on-top blocks.

I imported the 2.0 version but the right-topmost 8x8 tile of the big shell is still overlapping the grass in another palette. You can easily fix this by moving that tile somewhere else, y'know...
Also, alot of the tile behaviours are messed up. The desert ground tiles don't have the "Sandy" property, most of the boss door tiles have the wrong behaviour altogheter, Snow property in alot of random non-solid tiles, Line behaviours everywhere, the ground corners that are meant to be put beside brick tiles are not solid, and the quicksand tiles don't have the necessary "Solid on top" behaviour (you just fall through them if that's not set)
