I'm planning to buy a new flashcard.
I currently have a DSi XL and a DSTWO card.
What do you recommend?

R4's are pretty much the generic and standard flashcard but in my experience they are constantly moving to new cards to keep up with updates, so it can be annoying to constantly have to buy new versions of the same R4.
Although the DSi isn't going to update anymore so maybe just any R4 that is compatible with the lastest update should do.
Also, why do you want another flashcard? DSTWO are the best around.

Um... no. No they aren't. They have a number of things screwed up, including but not limited to causing slowdown in games:

I don't have any experience with anything other than an Acekard2i. I can recommend it. It doesn't have any special features, but it does have active(-ish?) "OS" development (AKIO), and I've never had any problems with it.

I got it a while a go, from a website I can't remember the name of, so I can't help you with purchasing.

As for better places to ask this question: gbatemp is certainly active, and has quite a reasonable amount of info and knowledgeable users.

EDIT: Did I think that was readable?

Really? I've had mine for over two years and it has worked flawlessly. Easy to update and every game I have played works.

Yes, every official game might. Step off that circle and butts.

I do have a R4 Gold Pro 2014 3DS upgrade edition blah blah I got in a shop, and it works, but doesn't seem to be compatible with recent updates ("OOO FAKE CARD SEND IT BACK TO SELLER") so I'm using a old rev, with a slightly buggy but correctly working moonshell. It's good enough for me as long as it works, but idk about you. I'd not really recommand it, tough.

Oh also, what do you need multiple flashcards for, multiplayer games?

I personally use that EDGE card for my "old" DS lite. It works well, I have no flaws for it really other than "can't emulate GBA games".

Since you use a DSi, you would have to get the iEDGE instead, I believe.

Ew.. I just see that my first post isn't completely right, sorry.

I used to have a NDS Lite, DSi XL and a 3DS XL.
My DS Lite has been broken, about two months ago.
I had a DSTT card for my DS Lite, but that flashcard doesn't work on my DSi XL or 3DS XL.

^^ This is exactly the reason. There aren't many games I bought; I downloaded the most.
So now I can't play multiplayer games anymore. And I think a new flashcard will be cheaper than a new DS Lite.

About my 3DS XL, I have ver. 9.2.0-20E now, and I just saw my DSTWO Flashcard works on it,
so if I buy a new flashcard, it doesn't have to be a flashcard which works on the 3DS.
It only has to work on the DSi XL.

But I don't know if my DSTWO Card will always work on my 3DS XL.
For the people who use WhatsApp for the smart phone, if you don't update the app for a while,
WhatsApp eventually will force you to update, otherwise the app won't work anymore.
I'm not sure if Nintendo also uses something like that.
I only know that I haven't updated my 3DS for a while, and now I can't go to the eShop anymore (unless I update my 3DS).

(I doubt to update my 3DS, because I may want to download Coin Rush packs for NSMB2.)

Sorry again, I should have been clearer about this in the first post..
