I would have played the full hack, but some levels were just plain annoying (had game over twice when I was in world 2) so I stopped to world 2.

My comments... I liked some levels which had clever design and switches, and some had a fair difficulty. However, some others had an unfair difficulty.

And... hey, that's my tileset in that screenshot! What world is it in? (my guess is world 6)

Okay, I have being playing through this game and i am loving it.
But i'm stuck. How in hell can i finish W8-7? My God that level is HARD

Seems quite neat. I wonder though, can I find a list anywhere that details all the levels included and who made them?

Well, I'm sure I'll give it a try some time, though I no longer have a handheld system in my possession..

I just noted that the starcoins could have been kept.

IIRC if you set them to an index higher than 2, they wont be added as collected.

There is little point to having star coins that don't get marked as collected, though. They'd basically act like big coins with some challenge to getting them.

Or not even, star coins don't count as normal coins.

And who knows if doing that doesn't cause the game to accidentally overwrite some other variable in memory


On the other hand, the star coin challenges/hideouts are weird without star coins in them.

Well. Atleast the satisfaction of hearing the collection sound?
Dragon coins in SMW did nothing special either. And it was just a little icon to represent they were collected.

And yes, this is my main issue. Say for example, in my forest lake level, you had to climb the first unreachable hill for the first star coin. You need the trampoline which is a bit ahead in the level. Now, it loses the purpose of it. Same with the underground section of the level.

Look, I'm kinda tied up at the moment so I don't have the time to restore the Star Coins, but I trust that if anyone wants to do so, they can make their own revision in the meantime.

I've been playing this hack and I love it, but on 5-1 I grabbed a mini-mushroom and headed for world 4. This caused my game to crash because, as you said, there is nothing there. So guys, DO NOT grab the mini mushroom in 5-1. The temptation got ahold of me.
