Does anyone know where the graphics of the Nintendo Logo at the beginning at starting the game are?
I want to edit it. I'm not going to delete all the copyright or something like that. I want to add copyright of myself, you get? I mean I want to set my name after/above/under/... the Nintendo Copyright. If that can't, I want to change the color of the Nintendo Logo from red to... black, blue or green... Why? Because for fun  I think it's funny and in a hack, stuff like that is funny, because then you see it's a hack, and... yeah.. because of that.

Yay, i managed it to make the bottom screen green. ^^ There is no ASM needed for it, this is only hex code editing. One tip: Make a backup of the : "020DE360 - 020E0C3F,OV 1, FILE 6" file before editing the Hex code, that is the file of the booting screen. get to line 000005D0 and replace C8 with D2.

...how does that even help with getting it to a certain image..I don't see how just making it a plain color helps anything.

I guess this is hardcoded. Something one can try is to look into the VRAM when the startup screen is showing up. Then find some significant data and look for that data in overlays.

Hmm... Ok, I think that's weird. If you only change two numbers, the text at the bottomscreen dissapears and the whole screen becomes green...  But now I know that '020DE360 - 020E0C3F,OV 1, FILE 6' is the file of the Nintendo Logo. Maybe I'll do some experiments with it. With that I mean: just change some numbers without knowing what I'm doing! Of course I make a back-up, just in case if I screw it up. EDIT: Where is '020DE360 - 020E0C3F,OV 1, FILE 6'? I can't find it in the ROM File Browser |
