Replace /particle/spl_b01_kpa.spa with /particle/spl_b04_kri.spa in the ROM File Browser.

Use the area overflow bug to teleport from 1-Castle to 4-Castle. You have to test how many areas you have to overflow but maybe it works

And my method should work.

It works on desmume, though I haven't tested it on a real ds.

It came up with a ds. I don't play on emulator anymore because it lags more than sonic generations

Replace /particle/spl_b04_kri.spa with /particle/spl_b01_kpa.spa in the ROM File Browser.

You got that the wrong way around. He's putting the W4 boss in W1, so he should replace the W1 file with the W4 one.

But yea, the area overflow bug can be a more reliable way to fix it :|

Yes I did but I have fixed it now, and the area overflow bug will be fine as well, if the music works.

So I have to replace spl_b01_kpa.spa with spl_bl04_kri.spa? Because I have again this mother ***ing lava ring.

I have always two cleans roms (One for patching and for file backup and one for the next hack I'm making so I'm okay.)

A piece of advice, use what I call a "Clean ROM depository".

Just keep a .rar containing a single clean ROM. When you need a clean ROM just open up WinRAR, drag and drop into the folder you want as many times as you want. Infinite clean ROMs.

I have these folders:

Unedited Roms (uncompressed/compressed, dropbox/local, depending on filesize)

Hacks (contains all resources for hacks, including sandbox rom)

Testing (often replaced by clean roms)
