To make it clear - I'm still working on that hack.

My concept about this hack how it should look like changed a bit, so all the info i posted here previously i hide now in spoiler in case, if i want to reuse some of these ideas.

By the way, my current goal about this hack is to:
- make all custom levels (and some remakes).
- edit graphic a bit (i don't use Wii or 3DS graphics, rather would like to edit current and make a bit custom).
- change music (mostly use from other DS games, but there will be some custom music too).
- remake all worlds

I'm just gonna come in and say that this seems to be a very common thing among NSMB hacks. I just wanted to make sure you knew, because if I didn't tell you, Mega-Mario would, and he wouldn't be nearly as nice about it.

As TRS said, it's unoriginal.

The level design looks good however. Can't say as much about the music, it sounds too much like a MIDI played on WMP. Oh and the slope tops are visually glitched.

Your 1-Castle looks like NSMBWii 1-Castle. I think it's actually 50% the same level. That bugs me.

Yeah I know what you mean about NSMB Wii style when it comes into tileset and level design. And in some points you have right. I though about that and i decided that those tileset I used now (excluding those in 1-A) will be keep as placeholders. I mean i plan to redraw some tileset from older mario games to make them look better.

Also i though about 1-Castle level. Yeah, I use NSMB Wii 1-Castle as a base but It isn't good idea i see. I start to redesign them - I'll change castle theme into other (won't say now) and I'll also change level design.

Hope those changes makes my hack looks better.

In this bowser castle level screenshot, do you konw where is the custom castle background? i have been looking for this
background for a while on the internet. Anyways it looks pretty good.

It was long time since i write anything about this hack so I decided to refresh this topic a bit. I mean I'm moving back to my hack. There will be some minor changes but not only. Don't expect that I'll finish this in month or too - I wish I could but I'm busy with my college so I think that I will make it slowly but steadily. Here's some things I'm going to change/improve.

1. Tileset - I realised that NSMBWii tileset looks pretty weird with DS backgrounds + they are most common thing in NSMB hacking so i decided that i stay with classic DS tiles. Anyway there will be some changes in them and I'm going to improve them a bit - for ex. make Night Grassland tileset.

2. Music - Another thing that would be changed. I think it would be better if i stay with music from Mario games. Mostly I'm going to use music from another DS games, but there will be also music from other games.

3. Levels - For now I'm remaking whole world 1. It won't change a lot - mainly there will be new castle level and probably new airship level.

4. Worlds - Here's a concept for worlds in my hack:

I really like that ice level. It´s so simple but looks just cool. The red pipes fit perfectly with the snow tileset.

Thanks for opinion. I realy appreciate that.

I'm working currently on world 4 (5), and I got small problem with tower level. Here's link to download level. My problem is that i want to make first part (Area 1) like in World 8-6 - Mario can warp through left and right side. When I select this option game crash after opening level. If I deselect that, everything is fine. Can anyone tell me, how I can make this level with that function?

I tried to import 8-6 level in place of 5-Tower and everything work fine.

Anyway.

Got another trouble. I've finaly done my first Ghost House Level, but there's trobule. Door leading to Star Coin don't want to appear. They had same input ID. Screen will show you, what I mean:

Select the room where both doors are in and place it somewhere else in the editor. The room is too close to the other rooms.
