I swapped mario_head_cap_LZ.bin with mario_head_nocap_LZ.bin. This was the result. And I'm happy with it  I also tried replacing luigi_head_cap_LZ.bin with mario_head_cap_LZ.bin, and it looks like he's gonna wet himself laughing!  Swap heads and bodies and experiment yourself!  Lots of fun guaranteed!Mega Mushrooms used so you can get a good closeup

Someone already did this. It was called no cap mario quest, but it ultimately got cancelled due to some glitches in the removal of marios hat.
Are you experiencing any inconveniences? Or did you just added transparency to the textures? _________________________ |

Unfortunately, worse. The Nintendo logo screen comes up with the coin sound, and then the game freezes. I got a fresh, unedited NSMB ROM, took out all the files in the player folder with mario or luigi in the name, and put them in NSMB2. Everything seems to be fine again. I feel bad

Freezes happen often when editing the player models. When I made Toad as playable character I had lots of freezes.

You CAN'T edit existing models.
You can make your own models, convert them to NSBMD and import them. See this: http://nsmbhd.net/?page=thread&id=431 |
