I totally agree with this, but I could see argument about to unfold. As long as it doesn't escalate any further, I'm happy with it.

This may be off-topic as I already gave you my (100% real) theory. But this does relate to 2012 and the calendar. It's my own mind-bending revelation.



Does anybody follow that? That's how my brain works.

I'll try saying this a bit clearer. On January 1st, 2012, It will actually not be 2012 yet because the position of the Earth is still one day behind (which is because of the generalisation that a year is simply 365 days, when it is not), meaning it is still 2011, but not December 31st either. So until February 29th, the days are behind one day for two months.
So what would you call the day between December 31st and (what should be the real) January 1st.

I'm not trying to go into some deep science stuff here. But it's more just logic.

-The year after a leap year, the first six (approx) hours of that year will still be the previous year.
-The year after that, the first twelve (approx) hours will still be the previous year.
-The first 18 (approx) hours of the third year will be the previous year.
-The fourth year will end up 24 (approx) hours late. But that whole day doesn't get filled in until Feb 29.

Edit: The official calendar does not follow this rule, as it uses the leap year system. This is just my interpretation of how the calendar should work. The official calendar doesn't follow the logical rules.

Ok. I can understand why. Trying to talk about Time itself is confusing. Half the time I think I'm going crazy. Perhaps a diagram will help me...

Yeah, I did say what I was saying was off topic, but i posted it here because it relates to 2012 (being a leap year) and the calendar, and I thought that it wasn't good enough for my own thread. I'll stop now.

I think it'll be after our time definitely. But I also think humanity is fast approaching it's end. Overpopulation, Disease, War, Weather, even if we fix one problem the next is going to be just around the corner.
