I was wondering if there was a way to push the camera up while going upwards in a level, so you can see more of the screen above Mario.

Select the view, then tick the box that says "vertical scrolling" or something.

I know how to do that, but im not sure if theirs a way to increase the amount of tiles you can see above mario.

You can set the "Camera Top Offset" in a view to a positive valure (e.g. 32) and the "Camera bottom offset" to a positive one as well (e.g. 16). That way the camera scrolls way faster upwards when Mario jumps for example but also scrolls less down when falling.
