Your second paragraph describes the majority of Nintendo fans: basically nostalgia-stunned people who actually didn't experience the glory days of the 80s-early 2000s. Makes it ten times worse when you live in Europe and support retro-Nintendo given they didn't give two flying fucks about us. You have to resort to importing in a PAL region for Nintendo for anything home console before the GC

You realise that the only reason Nintendo forced Europeans to play on PAL is because basically all European TVs at the time literally couldn't support NTSC, right?

Been a while since my last post.

Anyways, I‘ve kinda knew it before the reveal that NSMBU is getting ported to Switch, as this one was rumored. While it may not be the most exciting thing for Switch owner‘s, it‘s still a fun game. I will expect the some of the stages from the Challenge mode, to be removed in the Switch version, especially the ones that used the Wii U Gamepad.

However I‘ve got sick of tired to the whole Bowsette thing, as there are people that are taking it way too far.

I may consider picking up if I ever will get my hands on a Switch, but I‘m still not sure as I already have it on the Wii U.

Nintendo:

Oh yes the concept is foolproof!
We'll sell a billion, oh yes!
because the fans are suckers,
and would buy it again!

We got tired of making up stuff,
so we remake it on newer consoles!
Because newer graphics make
up the video game's sole!

And NSMBU was so cool,
and really fun to play!
And if you purchase it,
we'll get the money. Okay?

I don't think Nintendo will make good sales off of this. There are fans that will buy this, but it's basically the same. And I have noticed that Nintendo has been remaking alot of old releases lately. Superstar Saga, Bowser's Inside Story, Luigi's Mansion... I mean, I am excited for Bowser's Inside Story, because the plot was really cool and funny and never gets old. Would definetly play it again. Luigi's Mansion is a classic, so I would play that again too. NSMBU though? I mean it's not that old. Not to be considered a "classic" anyway.

Pretty sure it's just being released for people who never had a Wii U. I agree though, this probably won't sell very well.

It'll sell plenty enough. The cost of porting the game likely involves very little time or money. If the game sells a few ten thousand, thats a massive profit for almost no work.

It's lazy imo. I've seen how well Nintendo can make games, and I think that a brand new New Super Mario Bros. Game is in order.

Nintendo knows most fans are sick of the NSMB style. They are probably just doing this so they don't have to make a new mario series for a while

I know, I live in UK.
But, they could have (and so could other Japanese companies) at least released their games on time here

Not really. I kinda expected it that they would re-release it.
Maybe if it gets cheaper, as I never really finished NSMBU along with Luigi U because I didn't had extra controller and got bored, but now that I can use gamecube controllers, might give it a go.

Yeah they're pretty terrible but the analogue sticks are fine (not as nice as the genuine DualShock 1s from the PSOne)

So what is "deluxe" about it?

NSLU? We already had that bundle
Toadette? There's nothing really new except for the fact that you can turn into peachette aka acorn suit
Nabbit? NSLU exists.

So there is literally no point in this.
Why can 3D mario get such a huge open world change but 2D mario isn't allowed?
Why are the 2D fans stuck getting the same music, same art style, mostly same power ups for 4 different times. The only difference between all of them is levels and what console they appeared on.

To quote Scott the Waz:

NSMBDS: brought back 2D mario after it being missing. Great form of return
NSMBW: made sense, brought it back to home console. Brought multiplayer and the Koopalings.
NSMB2: most unoriginal game
NSMBU: most underwhelming game.

So, I think
New Super Mario Bros.U Deluxe is the most unnecessary NSMB title ever because,
as others have said,
this game is just the same game as NSMBU + NSLU,
and then Toadette, this character had replaced the Blue Toad and the Blue Toad was for me coolest Toad of NSMB-titles,
and then no new power ups (the Super Crown counts to the same item concept as the Super Acorn), and the Mario 2D games are not what it used to be ...
I could now show sales of every
NSMB title
But everyone knows that the sales figures since NSMB2 are just shit, but with the Mario 3D parts, there are bunch of way ideas, what a pity because NSMBDS was my
first Coolest DS game that I had and then I had NSMBW brought me because that was still good but since NSMB2 appeared I had no desire that to play, but when NSMBU appeared I played that because
it was good for me and the Super Star Road was good for me as well,
and the new item was okay,
as a conclusion to the end, I would say NSMBDS, NSMBW and NSMBU were great! But NSMB2 should never have appeared in my opinion

So apparently, there's another big new change that nobody noticed:

Yep, this is the big change! This is the reason this game will be flying off shelves in no time!

I'm excited, too! But, sadly, I don't have a Nintendo Switch (the platform it was released for).

I don't know.

I feel it's necessary because the Wii U was a failure and the switch has a bigger market. Most of my friends bought the game since they missed the Wii U one (because they didn't had the console) as well some it's their first game.

While it indeed looks pointless to port Wii U games, I think it's fine if more people will play them than people on Wii U ever had.

Blue Toad wasn't removed for NSMBU Deluxe. While in the character selection screen, hold L or ZL While you're at Yellow Toad and select him. Do it again to play as Yellow Toad.
