I hate this. This is annoying the crap out of me.

I taught myself how to do pipes a long time ago and everytime I make them, I get it right the first time. Well, let's jump to 3-3. I'm making a level with skeeters in it and I have my first pipe entrance. Settings:
Entrance ID 1
Destination Area 2
Destination Entrance 2

Everything else is 0. The other pipe says:

Entrance ID 2
Exit Only

Again, everything else is 0. So When Mario enters the pipe and transports to the next area, The music stops and no sprites show up. I have the music set in the view and the sprite sets are activated. The checkpoint flag doesn't show up and the progress path doesn't work. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? I've remade the entrances even with different ID's and even COPIED from other stages and I still get the same result. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!





Oh and btw, like I said, I tried different ID's so that's why in one of the screenshots it says 0 as an entrance ID instead of 2

EDIT: I decided to get rid of the pipes and have a straight forward stage. Apperently the MIDWAY ENTRANCE does the same thing. If Mario dies past the checkpoint, he spawns at the entrance, but sprites are gone, no sound effects, and MvsL music starts playing. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. There's nothing else in the other areas or even this one to affect this.

there's something you need to understand.

the view parameter of an entrance you come out from, tells the game which view you're supposed to spawn into.
you did not realize that, and set the view value to 2 despite trying to go to view 1. while the game does manage to take you to view 1 because there is no better option available, it still fails to load the views' parameters.

when you input the number of a view that does not exist, all the parameters normally fed by the view are missing. thus, all is still set to default: be it music, sound hex, or misc params. sprites work in-view, so they fail to spawn.

OH I did forget to set that. I know about that, yet I was so focused on the ID's I totally didn't notice. Thanks!
