Hey everyone. I'm working on a mini hack and I just finished the first level. I want to get other people's opinions on the level though, so I can fix some problems with the level. Thanks.

I am currently working on a 1 world mini hack named "Super Mario Bros: Different Worlds".

Ok from what you've posted you are using this as 1-1 certain parts of my "review" would be different if it were later in the game.

This level was INSANELY HARD
Now I know some people are better than others at NSMB, but holy crap this 1 lvl got me 15 game overs (75 lives!)

These are the things I'd suggest you change

1) Make the 1st jump more forgiving, the first jump shouldn't be hard
2) The secrets have no indication as to where they are located (Had to use editor to find the Star Coins)
3) Remove one of the parakoopas under the first ?-block, too easy to die with 2
4) In the air bonus stage, the final Koopa bounce is hard to know where to land (add coins?)

Here are my results

Level Design:4/5 good level, but relies on the gimmick too much
Difficulty: 100000000000/5 OMG THIS TOOK ME AN HOUR TO BEAT (More seriously though, this was a hard lvl)
Secrets: 1/5 There is no indication as to where the star coins are at (add a hint or something)
Overall rating: 4/5 Not bad!

Not even that hard . I died 8 times. Mostly because of the big jumps, but that was it. A good first level, I must say. Just quite challenging, which IMO is good.

P.S. How the fuck did you die 75 times??

*confused*

How in the world did you beat it in 9 tries? Anyway, the first 3 jumps drained my lives, then realized that I needed the star coins so that added a bunch of lives lost.
