well, yeah. I understand that browsing a site that has been compromised would be pretty bad, esp. if you transmit sensitive data. I also understand that many users click warnings away without reading. but, atleast let me choose if I want to take the risk, blarg. make it hidden or whatever, but let me choose.
also, I think most users would take HTTPS warnings seriously (too seriously) given we're educating them to think that "green padlock = yay I am safe from everything / anything else = oh noes I will get haxed". _________________________ Kuribo64 - zrghij |

It depends on how the site got setup. In case of NSMBHD and DSHack.org, it redirects you to HTTPS, while in case of Kuribo64 and NSMB2 Hax, trying to access the HTTPS version will give you an error. _________________________ |

Wait, does your browser not have that option or are you saying this as a general thing? as Yami said. the board forces HTTPS (but at some point it didn't, maybe it relies on the setting being cached?) and the browser says "oh noes! the certificate is expired. I can't let you access that site, go fuck yourself" setting your time back worked, but not if you set it too far back the HTTPS version of K64 doesn't work because it's not set up. it doesn't even listen on port 443. _________________________ Kuribo64 - zrghij |
