It may not even be asm, just a retexture.
Many people already retextured the goombas to shy guys though. |

It's smell like other epic try of make a never-finished full hack. The idea is not bad, but I would like to play your hack... before 2056!
Because this, think about make something more simple, but with better quality. What about "1-World mini-hack", and give to us a download to play! At moment, your old Ray's Shy Guy texture is good for start. If you want improve your Shy Guy in future, Skawo made a good work, remodeling the Splunking sprite. But you will need some advanced ASM knowledge to implement it. If you have enough guts to dive into this subject, look this thread. But I personally think this is not the moment. Kisses. |

The term "Advanced ASM knowledge" is funny here, because you don't need any ASM knowledge to import ASM hacks.
Ontopic: On the screenshot I only see a vanilla 1-1, MeroMero's jyotyu and NSHB's (kinda dirty looking) ShyGuys. So, uh, this hack looks like you imported random things from the Recources Forum and call that a new Hack

I agree... The term "new" for tileset, enemies, music, etc., is little heavy here.
Maybe if the hack disclosure just focus on "new levels and worlds design" it's already sufficient. I think that's not necessary put "new" in all items (even because it's not). But the credits reference about this derived work is a good idea. In this way, other users can see from where this game drink the inspiration to be build. Edit: And MarioMaster, I'm pretty sure I'm referring about implementation and not just a simple import. Unless you think implement is easy too. In this case, make some new enemies in a few days and share to us a complete tutorial.  Hugs. |
