Wow! The new Rainbow Road is awesome!!


I disagree. Too much Space Station, not enough Rainbows.

And considering how intense Rainbow Roads tend to be, this one is quite mellow considering this is the first Mario Kart to have anti-gravity tracks.

But it was a great Direct. This should be the standard for the Directs to be.

I found the bits with the English man feel really out of place and awkward. Especially that new items 'Ad'.

Is that character roster the final one? If it is, then shame, because it isn't that great. The koopalings are the only great addition. Things like gold peach and baby rosalina are really random. Some other characters would be cool. Like a hammer bro.

I dont know. Mario kart 7 RR isn't intense either
I think they went a bit overboard with the space station due to the new lolgravity effect, though remmeber. We havent even gotten the chance to try the track to see if its mellow.

Short and lame, worst Rainbow Road ever.

They even split the N64 version into 3 sections instead of laps. I hate that concept of sections instead of laps, ultimately it feels like they're making tracks shorter by giving off the illusion that they're longer.

I'm not trying to play the devil's advocate, but in Nintendo's defense N64 Rainbow Road is 2 km long, which if I remember correctly is still the longest track to date since you have to race for what is essentially 6 km.

I just don't want to imagine what it would be if you had to do 3 laps (2 would be bearable though, but barely), that's just asking to get bombed, blue shelled more times than ever since statistically you would have to race for a longer time (yes I know you can deactivate items now in Wi-Fi, but you don't have that luxury in 1-Player Mode), and that's without taking into account the amount of ragequits and trollfest this would generate.

TL;DR I think they played it smart with N64 Rainbow Road, just my 2 cents.

There's no such thing as 'too long' for me.

Handheld games, sure, things can be small.

But console games aren't supposed to be 'play for 5 minutes at a time'. You're supposed to lose yourself in console games, and if you can play through every level in an hour then that makes me seriously unsatisfied.

Agreed with MF64. MK8 RR sucks. Too short, barely challenging. What happened ninty?

Also with N64 RR, they could have just simply made it 2 laps. Now that its sectioned, it doesn't feel the same it was before
