Hello there,
I just joined this forums today and I was wondering if there was any way to use custom music in your levels. I am fairly new to this, so I don't know where to find the sound_data.sdat and all. Is it possible to use the audio from YouTube and convert it into mp3 and then add it into the game? I recently just saw this thread: http://nsmbhd.net/thread/1127-the-music-thread/ Is this possible? If so how can I do this? _________________________ |

Yes, i've seen that before. However, this does not help me about mp3 files from youtube. If anyone has anymore information about this, please post it here.

IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO SET MP3 FILES IN NEW SUPER MARIO BROS DS!
The music of DS-games doesn't use files like MP3s and you can't convert MP3s to an format the DS can use. For each 'song' of a DS game, there are more files. A file for the song and a file for the instruments the song uses. There isn't also a very easy way to set custom music in a DS game. It's a shame maybe, but if you really want to edit/change the music, go searching for a tutorial that you can understand. It's could be useful if you already know something about MIDI. |

Read my last post. I've edited it and I've added some more information. And the thread you saw... I'm not sure, but I don't think that's something about setting MP3s into NSMB. (<-- = New Super Mario Bros. DS )

The NSMBCR will use a ASM-Hack, wich makes .wav-Files possible with NSMB.
TheToaster, you can only do, what KingYoshi discribed above _________________________ GitHub - Kuribo64 - YouTube |

Ok then, where do I get these MIDI or .mid files? I can't seem to find any online. By the way, i've heard some custom music is a few mario hacks that I have heard before on youtube. How do I get these files. Also, where in the rom is the SDAT file when I'm using the NDS editor?

I think maybe he doesn't even know where the ROM File Browser is...(?)
And don't expect that you just can convert a MIDI to SSEQ and then you already have a working custom music in NSMB |
