Shouldn't users be able to delete post own their own thread? It would help people who can delete posts from tons of messages of asking them to delete a spam post on their thread. And shouldn't you be able to delete your OWN posts, incase you did something stupid and/or something you didn't want to do?

Deleting on own thread is a no-go. Guess why. But deleting own posts? It´s not necessary because you can edit your posts and if you post crap it´s your problem. Also you would damage your own karma.

Maybe because it would damage people's karma? Would if when you delete your OWN post, it does not damage your karma?

Then you can just edit it to make it useful and good! It's not that hard. (not even backseat moderating)
Also, if the delete-own-posts feature gets implemented you'd get some random deleting-post-spamming. |
