Id like to duplicate say a goombas code so I can use it as a base to make like extra enemys

Oh... I dunno how to copy/paste the code, but I think the game's data restrictions doesn't allow to add extra data. Except you want to use some unused enemy slots. |

Nope. To duplicate enemies you'd to copy paste the code, but also move its location in ram. You have to put the second copy somewhere.
And turns out the hard thing is moving code. You have to fix all the pointers in it to point to the correct locations. A single one wrong and you get a crash. Its way easier to modify existing sprites. Also, guys, please learn before making question threads like these. I don't want the ASM backing forum full of them. |
