Finally figured out how to install wads on 4.3e.

Anyways , for some reason the Super Mario 64 Multiplayer Hack by Skelux is running at a slower rate, maybe 75-80% of normal speed.

However, the hack only runs slower on the wad version and it runs at perfect speed on the Wii64 Emulator BUT the Wii64 Emulator can't play it because it crashes every couple of seconds.

I know I only posted a thread about wads the other night but the only reason I wanted to install a wad was for this hack so if someone has this wad on their Wii and it runs at perfect speed, could you tell me how you did it? I googled the problem for ages and checked the comments of the video to see if anyone had similar problems but no luck.

The weird thing is I installed the normal SM64 wad to see if it would run slow too but it ran perfectly, at normal speed. I think the problem is the multiplayer wad because I have used 2 different types of installers for it and I'm still having speed problems.

I don't see the importance of installing additional IOS's, I installed the normal SM64 wad no problem with just the Homebrew Channel and one of the installers I have listed at the end of this thread.

What is the problem why is it runnning so slow? I really want this to work because at this speed , the game isn't very fun to play.

PS: The two different type of installers I used that worked were
-Pimp My Wii
-Wad Manager 1.8 ( http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew/84706-wad-manager-1-8-unnoficial.html )

Also, sorry about the long post, I wanted to give as much detail as possible.

Maybe its your wii region, or a version with speed issues bug. The wad I installed ran perfectly, but it crashed when I opened a chest in Dire Dire Rocks.

Otherwise, dunno what it might be.

I got the 4.3e Wii ( PAL ).
What type of region is your Wii and what version?
How exactly did you install it? Did you install it without installing IOS's or anything else like me?

Also, a crash at Dire Dire Docks when the chests open is a bug with the multi-player that will probably be fixed in the next version.

PS: This wad is so much hassle , if I don't get it working soon I'll probably just give up on it to be honest.

I installed it using WAD manager. The only cIOS I have are the latest d2x on slots 249 and 250.

Maybe that has something to do with it. Custom IOS's.

I used Pimp My Wii to install it originally but I reinstalled it using Wad Manager 1.8 ( unofficial version ) to see if it would fix the slowness but it was still slow. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with what program you use to install the wad.

But I doubt cIOS's have anything to do with how wads are played because the normal SM64 wad I have works perfectly.

Its not. Its either the wad version you have is the fault. Maybe you can ask Skelux about it?

No. Uploading the wad would be illegal, since it contains the ROM itself. There is, AFAIK, a link to download the .wad on the video Skelux uploaded on youtube. I am using version 1.1. I haven't checked if there has been another release.

Yeah this is the wad I used , the 1.1 in the description.
Suppose giving him a message is the best thing to do he might know why it runs slow.
 MarioFanatic64 says this wad runs fine on his Wii and his profile says he is from Australia , who also have PAL Wii's.
I'm not sure what version Wii he has but ill have to ask him.
