What should we do with the wiki?
1. Pages about hacks: IMO this is a bad idea. Hack authors already have their own threads to explain what the hack is about. The wiki would just be duplicating information and serving as a way of people to say "OMG my hack is pure awesome lulz" 2. Tutorials: I'm not sure if we should move tutorials to the wiki. The good thing about having them in threads is that people can post in their threads asking stuff and all. There's no such thing in a wiki. (Well there's the talk page but that's not a good replacement for a thread) 3. Technical hacking info: This would be a GOOD thing to have. Documentation about file formats, ROM files, ASM stuff, etc. I also wanted to put GBATek in it. 4. ???? Feel free to suggest stuff. The wiki will be back if we have good uses for it. |

+1 to Mega-Mario
Wikis should only be used if threads are not good for their purpose, |

IMO, the Wiki should document everything.
There is information about hacks and other things, you cannot just see by looking into its thread. Sometimes information is spread over more places. A page in the wiki documents all information about something related to NSMB Hacking. Hiccup: Actually, you haven't given Arisotura a +1. |

but WHAT is the point of having pages for hacks in the wiki?
I mean, if you think your hack thread is missing stuff, add it! lol. Also we could use the wiki for organizing the NSMB Community Remix better? |

Just compare MarioFanatic64's v1.3.1 New Super Mario Bros. 5: Clone Tag Team thread and his page in the Wiki. You'll find different interesting stuff in the Wiki. Or my page in the Wiki and the New Super Hacker Bros. by ray and Fr33ze thread. You will find different stuff there too. Also, a page in the Wiki is completely objective, hack threads are a lot more subjective.
And yes, using the Wiki for organizing the Community Remix sounds really good. |

As for listing hacks it sounds good.
We can have a section of completed/WIP/canceled hacks. Also for example, I could add some extra backstory to my hack, something that wont fit in the release thread. And the wiki for organizing the CMR is an idea that I support (NSMBHD wiki?) _________________________ |

I don't want to sound rude, but the wiki pages about hacks won't be objective at all because they're written by the hack makers too. Also if you feel that your thread is missing info, add it to your thread! |

i suggest to put some infomation about the nsmb editor in the wiki about how the editor works like a documentation. for a example: to change things in the archive`s, at what value has you set the sound hex number in a level, how to make good levels. a m vs l section. like how to make levels bigger adding new sprites, how to get your levels in m vs l working on your ds. if there its a new user that its looking for information that he/she knows then how the editor works New Super Holiday Bros - Mario Kart GTA San Andreas |

I suggest that if Dirbaio doesn't want pages about hacks, we should just use an external wiki to avoid any conflictions with users here. Like the example I've already made. Let's just build that wiki up and let the NSMBHD wiki be what Dirbaio intended it to be. New Super Mario Bros.: Clone Tag Team 1+2 / New Super Mario Advance + Take 2 / Super Mario: Endless Earth My two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart. |

MarioFanatic64: That's a good idea! Let's build up that wiki you posted there.
Dirbaio: If there are no pages about nsmb-hacks, you should probably just add, like Arisotura has already mentioned, Technical Hacking Info. And to be serious, I just don't want my hack page to be cleared, because I pumped lots of time in it. |

Oh and technical info shouldn't be a GBAtek copypasta. If you really want to add info about the DS hardware, it should be formatted nicely and all.
Besides we have already determined that GBAtek doesn't fit in a wiki page because the database field isn't large enough _________________________ Kuribo64 - zrghij |

I know what we could put into the Wiki. We could make a page for every file in the NSMB ROM.
So we have documented, what the file does, and how to edit it. When you right click a file in the ROM File Browser in NSMBe, there should be a Button Called "View Wiki page". Then it should redirect you to the Wiki Page of that file in the Internet browser. |
