Please help! When I activate a P-Switch in a level I am working on, it goes wrong. The coins turn into bricks, but Mario just collects them like coins. How do I fix this? I have looked in levels which use the same objects and can't see what I have done wrong.

Are you sure you're using the right coin object? If I remember correctly, Tileset 0 has multiple coin objects, and not all of them work correctly...

Look at an original level that uses the P-Switch and use the exact same object number

Thanks for the quick reply! I did already try that, I checked with 1-4 Area 2, and my level uses the exact same object/sprite numbers. It is not working how it should be.

edit: oops I did use the wrong coin after all, thanks!

Weird...

Can you post the level? (the .nml file)
I'll take a look

EDIT: Also have you edited the tileset or something?

I know this problem. You are using the wrong Coins/Bricks.
Try to place different ones and it will work.

I was using the coin next to the blue coin, which doesn't work properly with the p-switch. It is working now I changed it. Thanks for your help!

Ok, good to know.
I also figured a long time why it does not work, until SKJmin told me years ago.
It is such a nasty bug.
