Ok, my questions simple.
Is avira always detect virus are stored in XDelta? Avira says there's a virus, so I deleted it, and download a new one, but it still say there's a virus... _________________________ NSMB6: Beta Testers Wanted!!! |

Most Antivirus programs are shit. They always see Viruses in completely harmless files.
Get a better one. I don't know what programs are the best ones, but I use Microsoft Security Essentials. It never bugs me with "Virus detected in C:\blablabla\...". But I am sure there are better antivirus out there. EDIT: I see you are a MAC-user. I don't know any programs for that OS. Someone else might help you with this. |

Huh, that's weird. Where did you get XDelta from?
I don't think it has a virus... |

Um yeah, I might consider getting the Microsoft thing too.
I use avast!. It used to be nice, but now it has become paranoid too. Last time, I downloaded a .exe from Kawa, and avast! wanted me to abort the connection because... the file was too new, or something equally dumb. _________________________ Kuribo64 - zrghij |

Oh, yea.
I've had Avast detect viruses in a Hello World executable I had compiled myself. So... yea. So it seems their strategy is to report viruses in every not-very-known executable. Derp. Not to mention it made everything super slower for me, specially compiling stuff, because a GCC process is created for every file to compile, and Avast makes process launching super slow |

Yeah for you Windows users using Microsoft Security Essentials or ClamWin would be best for you. All other ones don't integrate well or are probably complete shit.
There is also one for Linux too, but I never bothered to look up the name of it. |

Posted by MK7 I would recommend Norton 360 if you have XP or 7 I would not really recommend that. A friend of mine got the premium version of it (it has 3 serials) and gave one to me. The program is the most paranoid one I know. It does not even allow some homepages or downloads. You also have to turn off Norton when it comes to networking. |
