Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I needs to be otherwise normal. It can't hurt the player.

You mean walls that don't allow Mario to walljump on? I know SKJMin did this in NSMB3. I think he used that in W8 Final Castle. I'm not sure though in which release of NSMB3 this is used.

Make the block solid then in Tile sub-type choose "Sideways spikes or collapisble stairs (??)" -------- 00 70 01 00

I think the only way is using spikes. The side that doesn't hurt can't be walljumped on either.
I used it many times. |
