I'm not convinced it'll work if you just start a project where people does all the stuff for you out of nowhere without to even discuss it first.

IMO it's best to have the basics of the project set and at least some stuff done already before to ask people for contribution.

I agree with Thierry. It's important to show people what's done and what's needed. In a trailer, you could show more stuff you've already done (maybe with other people) and motivate others with your stuff to join.
